Getting started

When you start a new game, the game will generate the world and NPCs that live in it. Afterwards, you’ll be able to create your character.

‘Over-Soul’ features a deep, highly detailed character creation system. There are 3 major sub-categories for character creation; basic, physical, and mental. 

Character creation: Basic

Select your name and last name from the list of randomly-generated ones. The names are based on your sex, so make sure to decide your sex first before your name, otherwise, your name will be reset. Currently, you can only be male or female, as ‘hermaphrodite’ is disabled in this version.

Select your race. For now, there are 5 races available (4 anthropomorphic races and 1 non-morph race.) which are: human, dog, cat, mouse, and bunny. Your race affects your physical appearance and your attributes.

If you selected a morph race, you’ll be able to choose how prevalent your animalistic characteristics are. ‘Minor’ morph means you look just like a regular non-morph race, but with minor changes such as ears and tail. While ‘Major’ morph means you look very much like the animal of your race. Between the two extremes, there are ‘Lesser’ and ‘Greater’ morphs.

Select your sexuality, whether you’re attracted to masculinity and are averted to femininity, vice versa, or neutral. And select your genital attraction, whether you’re attracted to penis and are averted to vagina, vice versa, or neutral. These will affect how attractive certain NPCs appear to you. (Should probably be moved to ‘mental’ in later versions.)

Character creation: Physical

Customize the color of your eyes. Your hair length, color, and shade. Your skin tone, height, fat, muscle, and femininity. (Fur color will be added later.) Fat and muscle combination will determine your body type, from slim to muscular and from chubby to burly.

If you are male, you can customize your penis length, girth, and the size of your testicles. If you are female, you can customize your vagina elasticity and your chest size. Either sex can customize butt elasticity. High elasticity means your orifices recover from stretching faster.

Character creation: Mental

Select 3 personality traits. Each of the available traits has its own opposite trait that cannot be chosen together. (You can’t choose both ‘confident’ and ‘shy’ for example.)

Customize your interests from 0 to 5. These are combat, adventure, magic, religion, knowledge, work, entertainment, wealth, health, social, and sex. These affect how fast you gain some skills, how competent you are at some jobs, and how happy you are while doing certain activities.

Customize your affections and aversions. These are what you are looking/not looking for as a potential love interest, but not necessarily as a sex partner.

Customize your fetishes. These include the sexual acts that you prefer/dislike and how attractive and arousing someone appears to you.
